About our school

Huron Sports Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade in Huron, Ohio. Principal Brice Wilson leads a school where structured sports training runs alongside strong academics every day. This isn't a school that tacks athletics onto the end of the day as a reward. It's a sports academy where physical training, teamwork, and competitive habits are part of every school day.
The sports program surveys a variety of sports in Physical Education class. Students rotate through basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, track and field, pickleball, floor hockey, dance, tumbling, team handball, ultimate frisbee, spikeball, kickball, volleyball, and lacrosse. Fifteen sports in all are integrated into the school experience.
The academic program is standards-based and rigorous. Students who must turn 5 by December 31 are eligible for Kindergarten through a readiness assessment. The school offers arts and crafts club for K through 5.
Summer camps provide hands-on, active learning experiences during the break months. After-school tutoring is now available for students who need extra academic support. Transportation is available through yellow bus service provided by Huron City Schools for students within 30 minutes of the school, including busing from Sandusky, Firelands, Huron, Vermillion, Perkins, and Norwalk. Every enrolled student receives free breakfast and lunch.
Events include Christmas Program, Field Day, Spring Fling, Thanksgiving Feast, Trunk or Treat, and Valentine's Day Dance.
Huron Sports Academy is located at 712 Cleveland Rd E, Huron, OH 44839. Call (419) 387-5534 or visit huronsa.org.
